Arrangement to release blocked infeed to revolver press - gives machine cycle synchronisation at high machine speeds

A signal generator controls the infeed drive of a revolver press which incorporates an upper revolver plate and a lower revolver plate. The press further has strip plates for the various punch tools which hold the material being punched, till the punch tool has been extracted from it. The central strip plate (9) has a sensor which consists of a magnet coil (12) and a magnet coil (11) mounted inside the coil. The core is attached to the strip plate and generates a voltage in the coil, which reduces till zero when the strip plate is placed on the material. When thestrip plates is lifted, a voltage of opposite polarity is generated and a synchronism signal is fed to the numerical control.
