The tubular lamp has a safety arrangement for disconnecting the lamp contact from the power circuit. A short circuit bracket is actuated against a spring force by the lamp socket. This short circuit bracket bridges the contact power circuit. The electrical base contact is a leaf spring (3) forming a single arm lever. On this leaf spring is fastened an insulation component (5) which carries the short circuiting bracket (9). The insulating part (5) is loosely pushed on the leaf spring (3) and it has a pin (6) for fitting into a guide hole (7) for the housing.
