A solar heat collector for converting solar radiation into useful heat. It is made up of a heat-confining case having an open top and as absorber mounted in the case in parallel with its open top. The absorber is provided with conduits to allow flow of a heat transfer fluid therethrough Further conduits are mounted in heat transfer contact with the case and are connected with the absorber to supply it with the heat transfer fluid. A covering made of glass or sheet plastics material is laid over the case and the absorber.
