SLURRY EXPLOSIVE COMPOSITION

A slurry explosive composition comprising an inorganic oxidizing acid salt, water, a combustible material, a thickener and a sensitizer selected from the group consisting of alkali metal salts of alkydipheny ether disulfonic acid, dimethylalklbetaines and fatty acid esters of 1-hydroxyethyl-2-alkylkimidazoline. The slurry explosive composition can be initiated by a detonator and has an improved storage stability.
