Moist feed for pets comprises meat-oils, blood-based pieces (A), stable to sterilisation and consisting of a trace -3wt.% of a gum and rest blood, plus a sauce (B). (B) comprises, by wt. a trace-5% starch and/or opt. modified flour; 1-50wt.% aromatising agent; required amts. of vitamins and mineral; a trace to 7% of an oil or fat acceptable to animals; and a trace to 90% water. (A) is 10-50 (pref. 20-40)wt.% of the feed. Prod. can be used as sole feed or as a relish for dry pet feeds to improve their texture, taste, odour and nutritional qualities. |
