<p>A process for inhibiting deposits of scale, sludge etc. in aqueous systems comprises adding to the system a combination of polyacrylates and polymethacrylates with organophosphoric acids. Claimed is a compsn. comprising 0.1-200 ppm of a 1:1 mixture of Na polymethacrylate having amol. wt. of 9000 and hydroxyethylidene diphosphoric acid. Esp. useful in the operation of boilders for the prodn. of steam, in the operation of evaporators for the prodn. of distilled water, and in the operation of water cooling equipment for various purposes.</p> |
