1452708 Detergent composition KAO SOAP CO Ltd 10 Dec 1974 [11 Dec 1973] 53361/74 Heading C5D Detergent compositions comprise (A) a surfactant component which consists essentially of a water-soluble C 8 -C 20 alkane sulphonate and (B) an agent for improving foaming, increasing detergency and reducing skin irritation, which is (i) an alkyl betaine of formula wherein R, is C 8 -C 20 alkyl or alkenyl, and each R 2 and R 3 is C 1 -C 3 alkyl or (ii) an ethoxylated alkyl betaine of formula wherein R 1 is as defined above, m is 1 to 10 and X is H, a group -CH 2 COOM wherein M is alkali metal or a group (-CH 2 CH 2 O) n H in which n is 1 to 10. The compositions are useful for hand washing of dishes. They may be in solid or liquid form and may comprise ethanol, urea, sodium xylene sulphonite, perfume, dye and water. |
