Mechanical element position sensing system - operates using switches enclosed in single hermetically sealed replaceable assembly

The position of a mechanical element is sensed by a number of switching elements enclosed in a single casing with any necessary telescopic mechanism. This avoids using numbers of hermetically sealed switches thus simplifying maintenance. A hermetically sealed detector comprises a cylindrical tube (1) with a deformable membrane (2) on one end and is soldered (3) to a base (4) in which there is a sealed connector (5). The base supports switches (7) retained by pins (8) and with their press buttons not aligned. The switches are wired to the connector. A disc (12) with telescopic system attached floats between the membrane and a compression spring (13) to contact all switches. A lever (15) welded to the tube prevents membrane fatigue by external operating system.
