<p>The process is for the manufacture of curved inverted-U section panels of wood or other laminated material. The different layers to form the panel are first placed on a male shaping template (4), the central part being subjected to pressure and brought into contact with a female fixed template (5). At the end of the upstroke the panel ends are compressed by lateral arms (6) and bent into a position perpendicular to the plane of the female template, being joined to the central portion by rounded corners. During the time when the panel is compressed between the male template and the arms, it can be heated to allow the glue to stick and set.</p> |
