At least one electric sensor is used, delivering an analogue output signal corresponding to the air velocity. The electric sensors (1a, 1b, 1c) consists of sensitive anemometers. The analogue output signal from each sensor is interrogated at a certain frequency during specified periods, and equal signal amplitudes are arranged in classes in accordance with their frequency of appearance. The frequency of appearance of each signal class is stored, and the stored values are applied to a computing circuit which calculates the parameters of interest, such as mean value, standard deviation, peak values, etc.
