The snow fence element has several series arranged flaps which are able to pivot about horizontal axes. This arrangement ensures optimum snow protection to the road and the fencing is readily transported. The robust fence construction is economical to make and does not require additional anchoring for high stability. The pivoting axis of a flap (4) is arranged slightly above the horizontal centre line of the flap surface. these flaps have relatively long and slender shape. A frame (1) can carry several rows of flaps (4) in which each row has several flaps (4). in the lower part of a flap is arranged a weight. the pivoting axes of the flaps are formed by the corrugations formed in the flaps.
