<p>The Diesel engine stopping device for automotive application uses an engine driven vacuum pump to supply an injection pump for the engine. The starter lock (24) and its cylinder (23) form a switch, whose rest contact (22) is connected to the dynamo (20) and its movable contact (25) to a winding of a magnetic three-way switch valve (10). It is further connected to a pneumatic control (7) of the injection pump (2), and to a further valve connection (11) to the air vacuum system (12, 13, 14). A third valve connection (18) is vented to atmosphere in the event of a mechanical delivery quantity adjustment of the injection pump to the suction inlet of the engine (1).</p> |
