<p>The paper feed mechanism is for data printers or typewriters, having a rotary platen (1) facing a printing head (2) and a guide (3, 8) for continuous web stationary. This is fed by the guide around the underside and up the front of the platen past the printing station. Below the printing station the web is pressed against the platen by a bar (9). When an individual sheet is to be printed, the bar is pivoted out of the way and the sheet is inserted between the head and the front of the platen until it abuts a stop below the platen. Rollers (16, 17; 11, 13) then feed the sheet line by line upwards past the head.</p> |
