The locking member for formwork, weatherproof building site screening walls, or other structures, clamps together vertical frame with a clamping wedge and clamping elements. Two rigid L-shaped straps (27, 28) are set parallel at a slight interval and rigidly joined. Where they overlap there are two aligned elongated apertures (41, 43) holding the wedge, and the overlapping stems also have a side bearing surface for the vertical frame member. A third strap has its cross-stem movable lengthways between the first two, with little play crossways, and with another aperture for the wedge, and with a fitting surface for the other side of the wedge. The lengthways strap shank ends have interfacing slopes, matching the angle of frame shank flanks (19, 21) to fit closely against these when the edge is driven in. The wedge is set vertically to the clamping element.
|
