<p>Reinforced rubber piping, or large dia. and length, is produced using an inner soft lead mandrel. A lead tape is continuously shaped into flat tubing (the mandrel) which is covered with thermplastic tape. The reinforcement is applied followed by the rubber piping. The latter is vulcanised, and the lead is extd. and continuously reshaped back into a tape. Method permits prodn. of long lengths of piping 400-1,000 mm dia. without cutting up the lead mandrel.</p> |
