<p>1529348 Pigment formulations BASF AG 20 Oct 1975 [25 Oct 1974] 42887/75 Heading C3L [Also in Division B2] A pigment formulation comprises (A) one or more finely divided pigments constituting in total 10-80% by weight of the formulation, (B) a binder constituting 20-90% by weight of the formulation and comprising a copolymer of (i) 50-95% by weight of vinyl chloride, (ii) 5-40% of one or more hydroxyalkyl acrylates or methacrylates of which the hydroxyalkyl moiety contains 2 to 4 carbon atoms and (iii) 0-40% by weight of one or more alkyl acrylates or methacrylates of which the alkyl moiety contains 1 to 12 carbon atoms and (C) a stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride in an amount of 0À1-6% by weight based on the amount of binder. The pigment formulations may be used to manufacture gravure printing inks for printing polyvinylchloride, aluminium, regenerated cellulose and paper coated with plastic emulsions. The pigment formulation may be cured by crosslinking with diisocyanates or polyisocyanates.</p> |
