<p>1529021 Double glazing INDUSTRY SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 24 March 1977 [5 April 1976] 13776/76 Heading E1R A double-glazing unit comprises at least one sheet 14 having on substantially the whole area of at least one surface a regular array of protuberances 16 of height H not less than 250 nm and separated by not more than 500 nm. The protuberances may be formed by embossing one or both sides of the sheet(s) which may be of plastics material e.g. polyethylene, other sheet(s) may be of glass. The unit is particularly intended for use in greenhouses to reduce Fresnel reflection thereby allowing more radiation to enter whilst also providing heat insulation, and is preferably used with the plastics sheet inside and a glass sheet outside.</p> |
