<p>A closure comprising a cap and downwardly depending band or skirt severable therefrom along a substantially annular predetermined tear line is disclosed. The band increases in thickness downwardly from the tear line and provides a tamperproof or guarantee type closure. At least the band is made of heat deformable thermoplastic material whereby after positioning of the cap on the container the band is heat deformed to tightly encircle the container.</p> |
