<p>The closure fitment for a non-refillable bottle, e.g. for spirits, has a pilfer-proof seal. An inner part (2) is adhered to an outer part (1) which sits on top of the bottle neck. The outer part has a male-threaded section at the top. A metal shell (14), being of a cylindrical section and closed at one end, fits over the fitment with a gasket (15) between the closed end of the shell and the threaded top of the fitment. The shell containing the fitment is pressed down onto the bottle, and the bottom of the shell is turned under below the neck and pressed around the threaded section, sealing the bottle. Thin slots reduce the material around the shell, providing a breaking section which can easily be detected.</p> |
