The warp is composed of a continuous thread (f) which is passed successively from the rear beam (2) to the front beam (1), either always in the same direction, or alternately in one direction and then the other, each length of continuous thread (f) lying between two beams (1, 2) constituting a warp thread (f1), each of the warp lengths is made to carry a heald (3), this warp length is passed back through the teeth of a comb (5) of the open type and, once the warp has been mounted, the healds of the same direction are joined together in a dismantleable frame forming a strip.
