<p>The tyre removal and fitting machine has a table with three wheel clamps (3) mounted on a rotating pedestal (2). A vertical pillar (5) carries a horizontal arm (6) supporting a sliding boss (15). A cylindrical post slides vertically in the boss and has an enlarged rounded head (35) with concentric helical spring (36) which forces the post upwards. The base of the post carries a heel (33) used for removing and fitting tyres. A clamp (23) with rotating handle (27) is used to simultaneously lock the boss on the horizontal arm, and lock the post within the boss at an inclined angle so that the heel forces the tyre away from the rim.</p> |
