<p>A pair of endless carrier chains follow parallel advance and return paths in horizontal planes inside the side members of a support frame. Horizontal carrier frames are pivoted between the chains to remain horizontal throughout advance and return paths. Each frame should be suspended on a pivot pin on each chain, these two pivot pins being horizontally offset longitudinally of the conveyor. The chain wheel axes of the two chains are correspondingly offset so that the complete chinas are similarly offset. Both chains are pref. driven in synchronisation from a common power unit, e.g. via toothed belts or similar, positive transmission. Used for dough lump conveyor for bakeries, partic. between forming machine and prover. The device is much more compact than previous conveyors of this type. The discharge end of this conveyor permits access for several operators on both sides and at the end for fast unloading and return of empty trays.</p> |
