The remote controlled driving mirror has a single, reversible electric motor mounted under the mirror on a base plate, and two reduction gearings which are engaged by selecting the direction of motor drive. The hubs of the reduction gearings drive tags which directly swing the mirror about the two adjusting axes. The system provides a direct drive between the motor and the mirror so that no complex cable drives are required, and the motor unit can be fitted as a single item. Each reduction gear allows the mirror to scan along one axis with the driver stopping the drive when the set angle is reached. |
