<p>Root crop harvesting machine esp. for potato harvesting has a sieving belt arranged after a pick-up or uprooting device and driven around deflector-and drive-rollers. On its working strand, it takes over soil and harvested-product from the pic-up device and feeds a further conveyor after sieving away the soil. In the intermediate space between the working and the idler-drum there is a separate, endless fine sieving belt of a width which corresponds to the width of the sieving belt. This second belt grips under part of the length of the working strand of the sieving belt. It is driven in the same direction as the sieving belt and transfers residual sieved material to a transverse conveyor fitted after the end of the working strand.</p> |
