Decomposition of oily, greasy and gaseous concealing layers surrounding animal and human tumour and cancer cell tissue comprises using one or more alkaline earths, or their oxides or water-reactive oxides. Alternatively alkali earth hydroxide(s), opt. in aq. soln., or carbonate(s) may be used. Mixts. may also be used. Pref. the active substance is combined with a substance which penetrates the tissue.
