The head lamp is moved from a concealed to a working position by an electric motor and a switch system consisting of a regulator disc. The regulator disc is turned in synchrony with the electric motor to switch the head light on or off. The regulator disc has three slip contacts with an insulated section for the light switch contact and a recessed section for the lighting relay contacts. The third slip contact leads to a safety relay whose contacts work the head lamp flap relay. The safety relay works with two blocking diodes from the ignition to prevent the head lamp from being actuated when the ignition is switched off.
