The wiper drive motor is excited by impulses from a relay switch. One shaft end has a bevel gear (2) to drive two gear wheels each with a slip clutch (4) to turn flexible shafts (5, 5a) for the rotating head lamp glass wipers. The second shaft end turns an electro mechanical rotary switch via a reduction gear (6). The rotary switch consists of a regulator (7) and a keeper (8) joined by a drag link (9). The upper side of the regulator disc has a specially shaped electrically conductive layer (11). Three fixed slip contacts (S, S and S-) make electrically contact with the conductive layer when the disc rotates. The keeper disc has a recess (12) in the edge normally closed by a sprung locking piece.
