<p>A multicore cable consisting of a number of individually isolated conductors, has an inner mantle of a low pressure polyethylene copolymer in which there are transverse grooves. The space between the inner mantle and the insulated conductors is filled with a PVC/butyl mixture, and the inner mantle is enclosed by a smooth, plain outer mantle of PVC. Due to the considerably increased tensile strength of the cable, as compared with cables having the same conductor cross-section, but different synthetic materials in the mantle, it can be used for branch lines coming down from a tall pylon over a long unsupported span, to a building. It can be used with safety in wet rooms.</p> |
