The gas turbine consists of three concentric components, i.e. the rotating outer housing mantle, compressor mantle with compressor blades, and turbine mantle with turbine blades. The combustion air enters peripherally between housing and compressor mantles and arrives at the central combustion chamber where fuel is injected through the hollow housing shaft. Inside the compressor is the turbine mantle, the entire assembly being rotated by the expanding combustion gas.
