The fodder medium container esp. for mixed fodders and has an opening for animals to extract the fodder. The fodder container (F) consists of a vertical, tubular section (1) which serves as the supply tank with a filler opening (8) and a connecting shoe (2). The bottom face of the shoe (2) is inclined (3) and the shoe tip (4) projects beyond the front side (5) of the section (1) and has the extraction hole (7) in its top face (6). The tubular section (1) is flattened off on its reverse side (14). It has two recesses (16) on the circumference for accepting fixing belts.
