1528071 RIA of antigens and antibodies BAXTER TRAVENOL LABORATORIES Inc 26 Feb 1976 [4 March 1975] 07548/76 Heading G1B A solid phase reagent for use in radioimmunoassay (RIA) of antigens or antibodies is prepared by admixing specific antibody and/or radiolabelled antigen, polyethylene glycol and gamma globulin in aqueous solution followed by lyophilizing the mixture. RIA of the antigens or antibodies may be effected by reconstitution of the solid phase reagent with aqueous diluent which includes radiolabelled antigen when the reagent does not contain that antigen or includes specific antibody when the reagent does not contain that antibody, adding test serum, incubating at about 37‹C, centrifuging, removing the liquid phase and counting the radioactivity of the remaining precipitate RIA of thyroxine, triiodo thyronine, digoxin and digitoxin are exemplified.
