1527828 Tetrafluoroethylene terpolymers E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 8 March 1977 [10 March 1976] 09812/77 Heading C3P Novel terpolymers contain in polymerized form: (a) tetrafluoroethylene; (b) between 4 and 12 wt.% hexafluoropropylene and (c) between 0À5 and 3 wt.% of either perfluoro(ethylvinylether) or perfluoro(n-propylvinylether). They may be prepared by aqueous or non-aqueous phase polymerization in the presence of a chlorofluoroalkane or chlorofluorohydroalkane solvent, a chain transfer agent and an initiator. They are mouldable, unlike PTFE itself.
