<p>1371504 Reciprocating conveyers SOC GENERALS DE FONDERIE 18 Oct 1971 [20 Oct 1970] 48281/71 Heading B8A [Also in Division G1] Parallel conveyer rails 2 are each supported by pillars 8 on bases 9, and one of the rails is movable towards the other transversely of the conveyer by operating a hand wheel 13 and pinions 11 moving along racks 10. Radiator elements E to be tested are pushed beneath a known air pressure testing apparatus 15 by pivoted fingers 3 mounted on a sliding bar 4 moved by a jack 5, the fingers 3 being retractable for return movement by operating a jack 7 controlling a rod 6. According to the results of the tests a spray gun 16 is operated to deposit a spot of colour coded paint on each element E tested. The test results are noted and used to signal to electrically operated trap doors 17 on to which the after tested parts are pushed, accepted parts being allowed to continue on to a belt conveyer 21 whilst rejected parts are allowed to fall through the trap doors on to a transverse belt conveyer 20. A telescopic bar 14 connects the finger supporting rods 6.</p> |
