<p>The piston is used for cleaning the internal walls of pipes (9) and is pushed along by the fluid inside. It comprises two synthetic rubber cup washers (5, 6), their sealing lips (7, 8) facing each other. the base of each cup washer is reinforced by a flat disc (1, 2) and a washer (3, 4). Each disc has a lug retaining one end of a compression spring (10). A cleaning brush (12) is fixed to one washer assembly. Grease is introduced under pressure into the volume between the cup washers, a hole (11) being provided in the pipe wall. This grease acts as a lubricant, the spring compensating for volume variations.</p> |
