<p>The installation comprises a vertical cylindrical flocculating tank with a low-level, tangential inlet, a closed top and an outlet at high level to the separator. The separator is now located on top of the flocculating tank top wall. The tank transfers effluent to the separator via a long, radial aperture in the top wall. The separator should be downstream of the aperture w.r.t. effluent flow in the tank. The tank is pref. partitioned into several flocculation compartments, each surrounded by a flotation separator. Used for purificn. of waste water by flotation sepn. of suspended impurities. The separator is now built on top of a flocculating tank with a great saving in floor space compared with a side-by-side installation.</p> |
