The tennis racquet has an intermediate frame for securing the stringing of the racquet. This frame (Cr) is formed from a high strength stainless steel wire, having from thirty to thirty five crests (1, 2-30) around its permeter. The spacing of these crests is not regular, being close together at four diagonal corners and more spread out between. The forms of the crests also vary in a similar manner, but the co-ordinate distances, or pitch, between crests or valley is always greater than 14mm. The intermediate frame is secured to the main frame of the racquet by wire ties (A, F) at each crest.
|
