The air conditioning plant for a railway vehicle has a Peltier effect. It has a thermoelectric battery, limiting an ambient air circuit, and a conditioning air circuit, for the air to be heated or cooled. Ventilators circulate the air, and a converter feeds the battery with a low voltage DC. The ambient air flow passes around the converter. The converter (5) is positioned upstream of the battery relative to the ventilation for the ambient air, when the plant heats the conditioning air. The converter is downstream of the battery, when the conditioned air is being cooled. The first ventilator (2) circulates the ambient air in both directions, and during cooling has an output 3-7 times as great as during heating. The second ventilator (3) for the circulating air is located at the outlet of the thermo electric battery.
|
