<p>The proximity detector is for control of an IC engines ignition. It is of the type which has an integrated circuit and discrete elements arranged on a printed circuit board. At the end of the board is magnetic circuit (2, 3) in the form of a half cylinder in which is lodged a winding. The whole is fitted into a cylindrical housing made from an magnetic material. The detector has an insulating element (6) which ensures the centring of the magnetic circuit (2, 3) in the housing and positioning of the printed circuit board (1). The element (6) is in the form of a partially cylindrical ferrule of the same dia. as the exterior dia. of the magnetic circuit and the interior of the housing. The element (6) has at one end a cylindrical spigot (6a) designed to penetrate into the open centre of the magnetic circuit to centre it in the housing. At the other end of the element is a transversal slot (6a) designed to receive an end of the printed circuit board (1) which is off centre w.r.t. the magnetic circuits axis. In opposite sides of the element (6) are two slots (6c) through which the wires (3a) of the winding pass.</p> |
