<p>The thermo-insulant surfacing (3) for flat roofs (1) is prefabricated in strip form, is supplied in rolls, and is of a uniformly varying depth. The depth variation enables the surfacing (3) to be laid on a flat surface (2) and automatically provided a drainage fall. The surfacing comprises a waterproof top membrane (6) to which transversely grooved (5) insulating material (4) is bonded. The insulating material (4) is of the expanded synthetic type and may vary in depth either transversely or longitudinally relative to the length of a prefabricated strip. In the case of the transversely tapering strip the roll may be supplied with a compensating piece, running between the thing edges, and maintaining the roll in a cylindrical form. The membrane may also project on this edge.</p> |
