The wire container is made up of panels having a thick wire frame and a grid made of thinner material. The panels are joined together by sleeves (8) which allow the panels to swivel and lay flat. The base and two sides are joined in this way and two ends are joined to the sides on one side only. The container is built up by latching the two ends to the opposite side by means of moveable pins. Additional panels with hinges may be let into the sides and extensions may be added to the side or end panels.
