Corrugated plastic hose - with longitudinal ribs in plain sections improving flow resistance

A plastic hose which has a corrugated wall, seen in an axial cross-section, has in the flat wall sections joining the valleys of the corrugations several strengthening ribs in the longitudinal direction. These can be either hollow or solid. Pref. the plastic hose has sinusoidal corrugations, sepd. by plain sections. Each plain section includes a number of longitudinal ribs. This combines the greater flexibility of corrugated hoses with the better flow resistance of smooth hoses and requires less raw material.
