摘要 <p>A rotary tubular furnace is made in several sections, each section having a larger dia. than the preceding one from inlet to outlet ends. The furnace rotates around an axis that falls slightly from the horizontal from inlet to outlet. Solids are fed in from the smaller dia. end and gradually burned along the furnace length with the air of support combustion close to the inlet. At the point where sections of different dia. join combustion air is fed into the furnace through the bed of solids. The combustion air is blown in from annular air bustle through channels made between the overlapping refractory lining ends of each section. This air is fed along the length of the furnace to each circumferential inlet by air junction channels positioned between the refractory and the furnace casing. Used for the combustion of solid wastes usually in a paste-like form. Air is fed into the burning bed which increases combustion intensity, shortens the length of furnace required and reduces the excess aire requirements and the pollution.</p>
