<p>1527648 Cylinder lock and rotary switch assembly BAUER KABA AG SICHERHEITS-SCHLIESSSYSTEME 1 July 1976 [2 July 1975] 27497/76 Heading E2A A combined cylinder lock and rotary switch assembly has a number of key removal positions and comprises a stator 2, a locking bolt 10 displaceably mounted in the stator, a rotor 3 rotatably mounted in the stator 2, an operating link 9 secured to the rotor 3 and operatively engageable with the locking bolt 10 to displace the latter, a lock cylinder sleeve 5 surrounding the stator 2, the latter being non rotatable in the sleeve 5, an outer casing 6 disposed about the sleeve 5, a number of locking openings 12 in the outer casing, the position of the switch being indicated by the rotation position of a key slot 20 in the rotor 3, the outer casing 6 comprises a stationary part of the rotary switch and the number of locking openings 12 corresponding both to the number of switch positions and to the number of key removal positions, one of the locking openings 12 in the outer casing being engageable by the locking bolt 10 whenever the rotor 3 is in a key removal position, a compression spring 13 disposed between the locking bolt and the lock cylinder sleeve 5 for urging the locking bolt 10 in a direction towards the locking opening 12 in the outer casing 6, a number of tumblers 4, the arrangement and number of tumblers being selected independent of arrangement and number of the locking openings in the outer casing, a spring-loaded operating engagement member 17 mounted in the stator in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rotor 3, and a number of engaging openings 19 in the outer casing 6 for receiving the operating engagement member 17, the number of engaging openings 19 corresponding to the number of locking openings 12, whereby when rotating the stator 2, the operating engagement member 17 engages in an engagement opening 19 of the outer casing 6 in each rotation position of the stator 2 and is secured at that position by the locking bolt 10.
