1527625 Reinforced rubber compositions UNIROYAL Inc 26 Nov 1975 [4 Dec 1974] 45762/75 Headings C3K and C3Q A reinforced rubber composition comprises (a) 1 - aza - 3,7 - dioxabicyclo(3.3.0)octane or a derivative thereof; (b) resorcinol or its mono- or diacetate, m-aminophenol, m-phenylenediamine, 1,5 - naphthalenediol or a resorcinol - formaldehyde resin and (c) grey discontinuous grey synthetic aromatic polyamide fibres of length up to 5 inches which is added prior to vulcanization of the composition. In the examples masterbatches of natural rubber alone or in admixture with cispolybutadiene and SBR, silica or carbon and vulcanizing agents are compounded with 1-aza-5-methyl, methylol or acetoxy - 3,7 - dioxabicyclo(3.3.0)octane; resorcinol monacetate, resorcinol or a resorcinolformaldehyde resin and said fibres. |
