PURPOSE:To widely shorten a time for analyzing the cause of a fault due to an erroneous operation by storing the history of display data to normal processing in a POS terminal, using the stored contents of the processing, analyzing the fault when the normal processing can not be executed and executing recovery processing. CONSTITUTION:N-sets of POS terminals 2-1-2-N are used and the sales of various commodities is registered for each customer while the various display data are displayed on displays 21-1-21-N. Then, the normal processing is executed. When any idle area is not remained in an inner file 22-i of a record file which is housed for each terminal, the oldest display data are picked up and the new data are successively recorded. Thus, when the normal processing can not be executed by the fault of a hardware, the history of the display data is read out of the record file 22-i and the contents of the fault are analyzed. And the hardware is recovered. When the normal processing can not be executed even after the hardware is recovered, processing is repeated and continued until the display data of the normal processing appear. |
