PURPOSE:To allow the uniform supply of blood with decreased generation of bubbles and improved dispersibility of the blood and further the discharge of the bubbles to the outside by providing an artificial lung side blood inflow port for inducing swirling flow of the blood in the same direction in a prescribed space. CONSTITUTION:The blood emitted from the veins of a human body P is sent from a blood removing line 35 to a vein reservoir 32. The blood is further imparted with a pressure from a roller pump 37, is introduced by a circuit tube 18b and is admitted from a heat exchanger side blood inflow port 26 provided in the upper part of a heat exchanger part 3 into a heat exchanger side blood inflow part 19. This blood forms the swirling flow in the same direction within the prescribed space and is dispersed into the heat exchanger side blood inflow part 19; in addition, the direct contact of the blood with the aperture end of a pipe 23 for the heat exchanger is obviated and the bubbles are hardly generated. Even if the generation of the bubbles is admitted, the bubbles flow together with the blood through a check valve 38 from an air vent 27 into a cardiotomy reservoir 36 and are thereby removed and filtered.
