PURPOSE:To make only addition of a network control substrate necessary also for the increase of a line by originating a call to the selected connection line of the network control substrate, and performing facsimile communication by a call origination line. CONSTITUTION:Primary-encoded picture data is read out from a picture memory 4, and is decoded by a primary code decoding circuit 16, and is stored in a buffer RAM 18. Next, it is decoded by a secondary code decoding circuit 17 into an MR or an MH code which a remote party facsimile 32 requests, and is modulated by a MODEM 19, and is transmitted from an external NCU 23 to the facsimile 32. At that time, a telephone number peculiar to its own device is converted into the picture data, and is transmitted as TTI to the communication line before a picture. After the desired data is transmitted in such a way, a procedure after transmission is performed by a G3 facsimile procedure prescribed by CCITT by using the MODEM 19 and the external NCU 23. Then, in a following step, a CML relay is deenergized, and a direction loop to the line is opened, and the line is restored. |
