<p>Parent patent described an installation to utilise solar heat using collector panels in the outer covering of a greenhouse. Each panel has venetian blind type collector slats sandwiched between two parallel, transparent sheets. Solar radiation is reflected twice between adjacent slats opposite faced which are selectively absorbent to infrared energy. Improvement comprises the provision to circulate air through a collector panel. The heated air si then used to transfer heat to the green-house itself and/or an agricultural crop dryer and/or a fermentation process digester or micro-biological reaction process. The air circulated through the collector panel is pref. drawn from the green-house. Alternatively, air can be drawn from a fermenting vessel producing C02. Hot air from the collector panel is pref. passed through a heat store which releases stored heat over an extended period. The heat store can comprise a mass or fragments of mineral such as pebbles or river grit.</p> |
