This apparatus consists of a casing (11) provided with orifices (13 to 16) for the entry and exit of fluids, in which a semipermeable membrane (17) folded accordionwise is sealed at (26) on two sides so as to form on the faces of the membrane two series of chambers for each of the two fluids involved. Support members (18, 19) are placed in each fold on only one side of the membrane and are notched at (22) in the direction of the folds facing the orifices (13, 14) for the entry and exit of the fluid circulating in the chambers which are devoid of support members, so as to allow the membrane to sag at this point to promote the circulation of this fluid.
