The building block consists of a parallelepiped-shaped body with holes (3) to reduce the weight. At least two of the other main surfaces of the block are covered by a layer of hardened, coloured resin, for exposure to view. The other non-perforated surfaces may also be covered by a layer of resin, thus eliminating the layers of plaster, sealing, paint and such like normally needed.
